Service

Overview

Work Visa is an HR management system developed by OneTerrace Inc. to support the hiring and retention of foreign employees. This cloud-based service helps streamline HR and labor management tasks—everything from recruitment and onboarding to development and retention—making it possible to hire international employees at a lower cost.It comes equipped with features like the Employment Eligibility Check, which diagnoses the required visa status for potential hires, and the Administrative Scrivener Search, allowing companies to consult certified visa specialists.

At the time of development, OneTerrace was exploring ways to support companies interested in hiring foreign talent but unsure about the legal and administrative procedures.Based on competitive analysis data the client had already collected, we proposed intuitive features and designs aligned with their service goals. While the system is now maintained by another vendor, we were in charge of the initial design and development.

Client Voice

Tatsuya Ishinaka

CEO, OneTerrace Inc.

What led you to choose us?

We heard your team had strong knowledge in the HR space, and that there was someone on your dev team with experience building a system similar to what we had in mind. That was a big factor in deciding to move forward with you.”

Challenges and concerns

“Because the communication was very thorough, it did take more time and effort than expected. But in the end, it led to a great result, so I’m happy with how it turned out.”

What we did well

“There were two things that stood out. First, your developers proactively made suggestions for things we hadn’t thought of—like, ‘Wouldn’t this feature help?’ or ‘If we add this, it might make the system more robust.’ That kind of input was incredibly helpful.Second, your designer did a great job translating our vague ideas into concrete visuals. That helped us better understand the direction of the service and clarify our requirements. Also, after the development was done, the handover process was super thorough. That made a big difference too.”

Voices from Our Team

Designer

I was in charge of the UI for the system.Since there was a lot of information involved, I opted for a clean and simple design based on the service’s brand colors.Because the platform serves multiple user types—companies, foreign employees, and administrative scriveners—we designed separate interfaces for each. For companies, we made it easy to see visa statuses and expiration dates at a glance. On the detail pages, we included features that clearly showed the progress of document preparation for visa applications.

Sales Representative

Since this was the client’s first experience developing a system, I made sure to explain all the contract-related details carefully and proceed at a pace that worked for them.
