After graduating from university, worked in Osaka. After graduating from university, he worked in Osaka, made a U-turn to Kagawa, and joined Creatanabuki in 2008. After working in the Information System Department, he was transferred to the General Planning Office, where he was in charge of web planning and management, core system replacement, DX promotion, etc. In 2023, he managed the Work Portal as part of the Sales Department, and in 2024, he was in charge of the complete renewal of the Work Portal. He is the leader of the Business Support Team in the Administration Department.

Crie Anabuki Inc. provides a variety of services to resolve issues related to corporate human resource strategies, including temporary staffing, placement and recruiting services, BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) to improve operational efficiency and productivity, and support for the employment of people with disabilities.

The company operates the “Shigoto Portal” job site, which boasts the largest number of jobs in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions (hereafter referred to as “Chugoku and Shikoku”). However, in recent years, job searches on Indeed have become the mainstream, and the number of users of “Work Portal” has been declining. In order to overcome this situation, the company decided to work with HumAIn to completely renew the site, and to leverage their knowledge and experience gained over the past 40 years to transform it into a site that “shows the strength of job consultation”.

In this interview, we asked the company in detail about the challenges they faced at the time of creation and their impressions of the “Work Portal” after the renewal.

Start of the renewal project of the company website “Work Portal

Please tell us about the details of your company's services and strengths.

Kida: We provide a wide range of comprehensive human resource services, including temporary staffing, placement, BPO, and employment support for people with disabilities, mainly in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. As the population decline in rural areas is becoming more serious due to the declining birthrate and aging population as well as the concentration of population in the Tokyo metropolitan area, our mission as a human resource service company based in Chugoku and Shikoku is to “contribute to the development of local communities by addressing social issues and creating employment opportunities that allow people to choose diverse work styles regardless of age, nationality, etc.” We are committed to providing a wide variety of services that contribute to the development of local communities. The organization is made up of members who have a strong desire to energize Chugoku and Shikoku and to contribute to local communities.

One particular strength of “Shigoto Portal” that other human resource services do not have is its ability to provide comprehensive support for “changing jobs to permanent employment” and “temporary staffing”. It is important for job seekers to know which form of employment is best suited to their ideal working style. For example, we have a system called “Temp-to-Perm” for those who are looking to change jobs, as well as a monthly salary option for those who are looking for a permanent position while working as a temp.

Of course, there are difficulties in that different laws and rules apply to each type of employment, but we are committed to providing the best solutions as a good partner to both job seekers and companies by leveraging our abundant experience.

What kind of partner were you looking for at the time of the renewal of the Work Portal?

Kida: We were looking for a partner who would propose new initiatives and think together with us. Internally, we had many discussions about what we wanted to do and what we wanted to change, but we were limited in terms of human resources and skills to comprehensively address the areas that needed to be improved in the renewal process. Therefore, we needed a partner that would not simply do our bidding, but would work with us to realize a better site renewal, while staying close to our hopes and ideals.

What were some of the challenges you faced in implementing the site renewal?

Kida: We were facing system challenges. We wanted to do something new, but the old “Work Portal” administration screen was outdated and difficult to use, and it was difficult to change from the old job site with its neat rows of jobs.

We had a lot more to convey to job seekers than just job information, but we couldn't create the ideal form, and there was no way to approach job seekers until they applied.

Reassurance of knowledge and track recordThe ideal partner image and deciding factors in our selection

Could you tell us frankly about the deciding factors that led you to choose HumAIn?

Kida: The total renewal was a large project, so we consulted with a number of different companies. In the end, we received proposals from three companies in a competition, and we agonized over them until the very end. The deciding factor was that they were not just a web production company, but also had technical capabilities and knowledge of the human resources industry. We felt that they had the attitude of proposing new things and thinking together with us. Next, we were reassured by the company's knowledge and track record in API integration, which is directly linked to the core system that manages information on job openings and job seekers.

Ms. Kida, could you tell us about the department that played a central role in the renewal of your company's job portal?

Kida: At the time, I was working in a department called the Sales Support Section of the Sales Department, and the Digital Promotion Team's mission was to “promote sales DX and increase mobility from job search to recruitment. At first I was the only member of the team, but when the renewal project was launched, one of the project members was transferred to the team and we became a two-member team.

Until then, the Web had been managed by the Administration Department, but the renewal of the Work Portal was a project launched within the Sales Department.

We were happy to work with HumAIn for the project!

What did you feel about the level of expertise and members of the HumAIn team during the actual development process?

Kida: We did not have personnel with the specialized knowledge to conduct a site renewal. HumAIn was able to draw out the ideal image we had in mind and conducted a series of hearings with us. HumAIn was very reliable in explaining the design intent and meaning to us in a way we could understand. We were able to build a trusting relationship that allowed us to engage in heated discussions when necessary, and we learned a lot about UIUX and other aspects of design!

However, we were a little disappointed that the project was delayed from the original deadline.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We will make up for this in future updates.

Direct return rate has been drastically reduced! The site now communicates better to job seekers!

Please tell us about the progress you have made and the improvements you have made by hiring HumAIn.

Kida: First and foremost, we were able to clearly express what the site can do. We were able to update the site to convey to visitors that they can search for jobs, that a wide range of temporary and permanent jobs are listed, and that they can consult with us about changing jobs and job searches. The renewal of Work Portal, which had previously appeared as a “job site,” was a success, as it became a “site where job-seeking consultation is available.

Even after the renewal, we are constantly looking for areas for improvement and implementing additional features as needed. We will always strive to make the site easier for job seekers to use and more useful for the companies that have posted jobs on the site, so we will continue to rely on HumAIn as a companion.

What else can you tell us about HumAIn?

Kida: If I had to name a numerically pleasing result, I would say that the “direct return rate” has dropped. Before the renewal, the direct return rate was in the 30% range, but now it has dropped to the single digit range. Of course, this is the result of the interaction of various factors such as advertising strategies, but we believe that the renewal project we conducted with HumAIn, Inc. was responsible for this significant change in the numbers!

What is your honest impression of the renewed “Shigoto Portal”?

Kida: I feel that it is a big change that the “Work Portal” has taken root in the consciousness of the sales department members as “their site. Looking back, we used to have a strong sense that it was a job site that was created for us. It was just a job posting site, and even if we wanted to improve or review it, it was difficult to update due to the structure of the system, and it was hard for us to have a sense of attachment to the site as if we were creating something better ourselves.

Now, after the renewal, discussions on how to best use the Work Portal are being appropriately conducted, and improvement projects are regularly held twice a month, so we are very much looking forward to the future operation!

Realizing the desire to work and enlivening “people” and “communities

Please tell us about the key points and issues you are focusing on in the latest “Work Portal”.

Kida: We are striving to understand the needs of job seekers with even greater accuracy. One example of this is the “Keep Job Open” function, which was additionally developed after the renewal project. This function is used to collect information before applying for a job, and at the same time, for those of us who support job seekers, it allows us to understand the needs of job seekers and provide them with information without omission. We immediately began work on this new functionality because we felt that it was necessary from both perspectives and that it was highly urgent. We will continue to make progress to ensure that the renewed Work Portal continues to be a useful site for both job seekers and the companies that publish on the site!

Finally, please tell us about the future prospects for your service.

Kida: In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult for small and medium-sized regional companies to recruit, and the Chugoku and Shikoku regions are no exception to this trend. We are committed to providing support by leveraging our 40 years of experience and achievements in human resource services as “a person who understands companies and job seekers in Chugoku and Shikoku” more than ever before. Specifically, we will work to provide “places to work” in a variety of ways, such as providing companion support to job seekers through our “Work Portal” and providing attentive support by consultants at each of our offices.

We will continue to provide “workplaces” in a variety of ways, such as providing support for job seekers through our “Work Portal” and by carefully providing consultants at each of our locations to provide support. We will continue to move forward while staying close to people and companies in the community.
